Howdy! I'm Wes Bullock, now in my sixth year of teaching science. Yes, I do love teaching, and I certainly love teaching science! Here's a little info on my background, just in case you were wondering...
Way back in 2013, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. After a year of forecasting the weather, I began teaching 7th grade science in Johnston County, NC, specifically at McGee's Crossroads Middle. This gave me the opportunity to teach weather, which, as you might guess, just happens to be one of my favorite science topics.
After a few years, I moved within the district to the Career & Technical Leadership Academy at Johnston Community College. There, I taught Honors Earth & Environmental Science and Honors Biology at the high school level. After a year at CTLA, I entered the final semester of the graduate degree program I was concurrently working toward completing. So, in the spring of 2019, I ventured out to work as a Learning & Development Specialist with The Biltmore Company in Asheville, NC. This allowed me to complete an internship seminar so that I was able to happily graduate, May of 2019, with a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University.
After four previous car trips through Wyoming, I have fulfilled my dream of moving to the state, a land of much more enjoyable summer weather than that of North Carolina. Although I've heard the winters are harsh, I am looking forward to the challenge. Plus, I am excited to bring a passion for science to the Warriors of Twin Spruce Junior High School!
