Hello there, this is Wes Bullock, the Virtual Learning Manager for a medical team out of Denver, CO. As a remote employee, I continue to reside near Gillette, Wyoming at the Wyoming Ponderosa. Here's a little info on my background, just in case you were wondering...
Way back in 2013, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. After a little over a year of forecasting the weather and working as an Educational Director for USA Weather, I transitioned into teaching 7th grade science in Johnston County, NC, specifically at McGee's Crossroads Middle. This gave me the opportunity to teach weather, which, as you might guess, just happens to be one of my favorite topics.
A few years later, I moved within the district to the new Career & Technical Leadership Academy at Johnston Community College. There, I taught Honors Earth & Environmental Science and Honors Biology at the high school level. After a year at CTLA, I entered the final semester of the graduate degree program I was concurrently working toward completing. In the spring of 2019, I ventured out to work as a Learning & Development Specialist with The Biltmore Company in Asheville, NC. This allowed me to complete an internship seminar so that I was able to happily graduate, May of 2019, with a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University.
After many car trips through Wyoming, I fulfilled my dream of moving to the state in 2019, a land of much more enjoyable summer weather than that of North Carolina. Although the winters are harsher, I am still enjoying the challenge, as the summer weather has been phenomenal. Here, I concluded my seventh year in teaching after the 2019-2020 school year. Now, I continue to enjoying the fresh Wyoming air while working from home as a Virtual Learning Manager.
